Identity of caste: At present, there are more cultivars of wheat in the country, such as Kanchan, Akbar, Agrani and Pratibha. Besides, two high yielding new varieties of Saurabh (Bari Gum-19) and Gourb (Bari Gum-20) have been approved.
Wheat Roots
Kanchan: The Kanchan variety was invented by the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARC) through hybridization between UP-301 and C-306. The varieties were approved in 1983. The tree height is 90-100 cm. The number of cards is 6-7. Eagle leaf leaves erect. It takes 60-68 days to get out of the ear. There are 35-40 grains per acre. The grains are white and weighing 48-52 grams of grain. The grains are bigger than other varieties. At the time of plantation, the primary buds lie on the ground. Takes up to 106-112 days from the woven to the ripe. This variety has been a long period of cultivation. As the leaf rust is present in the disease, the yield of the crop has decreased slightly. If it is cultivated in a better way, it yields 3.5-4.6 tons per hectare. It is useful for cultivation in all regions of the country. Kanchan wheat is very popular all over the country. Kanchan wheat is cultivated in about 80 percent of the area in Bangladesh.
Akbar: The International Maize and Wheat Development Center (eoggun) After the transition between Mexico and Toby, two species of species were brought to Bangladesh in 1977. Later in the process of selection process was invented by Akbar in 1983. The height of this tree is 85-90 cm. The number of cards is 6-7. Slice the leaves slightly.
